Choose between 10 does in our herd of LaMancha goats you'd like to symbolically sponsor or let us pick for you - all of them are amazing! Please note that although you will be sponsoring your specific doe, a portion of the purchase goes toward supporting the entire herd of 50+ goats plus our bucks.
As a reminder, we're offering two levels of sponsorship:
Level 1 is $365 for an annual sponsorship. Included in this level is a welcome card with photo and bio of your sponsored goat. You also get a goodie box with a ceramic campfire mug, calendar, tote bag and more.
Level 2 is $100 for an annual sponsorship. Included is a welcome card with photo and bio of your sponsored goat.
Both levels also get exclusive access to goat and herd-related happenings as well as discounts on Stepladder cheese and products.
MEET THE GOATS AVAILABLE FOR SPONSORSHIP:
- Stevie: She loves humans and is always seeking us out for a good back scratch and loves going on walks into the hills.
- Carolina: She absolutely loves getting scratches along her spine and is not shy to ask for them - most days this comes in the form of the majority of her body weight being leaned up against us in a pushy and impossible to ignore show of affection.
- Orchid: She is a very quiet and mild-mannered doe who seems to be content to spend the majority of her time relaxing in the pasture or hunting for stray acorns.
- Wanda: She is a very playful and friendly little goat who loves to get scratches from her human companions.
- Mary Anne: She is a beautiful and photogenic little lady with long luscious locks and an inquisitive nature.
- Bella: She is playful and athletic and loves to romp through the hills and leap off of rocks when we take the herd on their regular walks.
- Paprika: She seems to especially love a good nap, and will often be found relaxing in her favorite spot near her friends.
- Betty Lou: Though she is distinguished and rather elegant, she also happens to be quite goofy and more than a little odd.
- Kimchi: - She is one of our most rambunctious girls, and loves to find the highest places in the pasture to leap off of or even just take a nice nap upon.
- Sorrel: Sorrel is the youngest doe in our sponsorship program and is a very mild-mannered little lady, but also happens to be one of the most intrepid explorers in the herd.
As a reminder, all sponsorships are annual from the purchase date. Similarly to our Quarterly Cheese Club, goat sponsorships auto-renew. Cancel at any time online or email us for assistance.

*DISCLOSURE: By sponsoring a goat, please be aware that there are circumstances out of our control which could result in injury, illness, rehoming or death of an animal. If this occurs, we will communicate with you openly and reassign you a healthy, producing goat from our herd. We've done our best to select a handful of does that we think will be with us for years to come.
These are symbolic sponsorships and do not require any physical or in-person requirements of the purchaser.

Where We Ship
We currently offer free shipping on orders over $65 to the following states via UPS 1-2 day shipping: Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. We have the ability to ship throughout the United States, but an added UPS shipping rate is required. Stay tuned for more delivery locations in the future. We do not ship outside of the United States.
We cannot ship to P.O. boxes under UPS restrictions. Please include a different mailing address for shipping. If you include a P.O. box address we will have to hold your shipment until we can get a different address.
Weekly Shipping Schedule
All orders ship on Mondays. The order cut off is Sunday night at 12:59 a.m. If you have an urgent shipping request or question, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Federal holidays are recognized and can effect UPS shipping schedules. We follow the official UPS holiday shipping schedule. If any of the following holidays fall on a Monday, then shipping will commence on Tuesday - New Year’s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Order Cancellation + Refund + Return Policy
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns.
If you received an expired or damaged product, please email our team with photos within 5 business days of the delivery date or date of purchase from a farmer's market/retailer.
Please note, the best-by date provided on our products is for unopened/sealed products. Products that have been opened will have a shorter shelf life than the best-by date. We highly recommend consuming our products within one week (especially soft cheeses and triple crèmes) upon opening for freshness and less likely for mold or products to spoil.
All online orders ship Mondays. Online orders can be cancelled for a full refund by Monday at 8am PST. We begin our shipping process at 9am PST and can’t process refunds after the shipping process has begun.
It is our customer's responsibility to double-check shipping and billing addresses added to online orders. Orders shipped with incorrect addresses are not eligible for reshipment or refunds. Please double check you input the correct shipping and billing addresses for orders.
Email addresses added to online orders will receive shipping/tracking emails from us when the label is created; when the shipment is out for delivery and finally when the shipment has been delivered. If the order is a gift, we highly recommend letting the intended know to expect a delivery on the delivery date. If someone isn’t home to receive the shipment/sitting outside for several hours, we are unable to send a new shipment.

Refrigerate Cheese Upon Arrival
As a friendly reminder, cheese is perishable. We do our best to pack each shipment with care and amble ice packs, but please try to refrigerate your cheese as soon as your shipment is delivered. Cheese should be stored in a standard refrigerator or alternative cool storage. Cheese can be served at room temperature for optimum flavor and texture, but then put back in the fridge for storage.
Heat Advisory (Summer Months)
During the summer months, extremely hot temperatures are causing delays in shipping and issues with our products, something we are unable to control. Here are recommendations for hot zone shipping when ordering our cheese online.
Option 1: Order your cheese online but ask us to hold shipping until these temps cool down a bit. Just remember that some cheeses like Chevre, Big Sur and Rocky Butte are seasonal and won't be available if put on hold past their season.
Option 2: Although we offer free ground shipping with UPS on orders over $65 in CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, UT and ID, we suggest paying for overnight/air shipping to ensure the quality of your order. We understand it's expensive, but we are not able to fully guarantee your order won't arrive melty with the normal 2-3 day ground shipping in these high heats.
