Stepladder Ranch & Creamery is home to our goat dairy and creamery just outside the town of Cambria on the Central Coast of California. Our focus is making traditional and innovative, small-batch cheeses with milk from our herd of Lamancha goats. During the off season, we also make cow's milk cheeses using milk from a local, family-owned herd of Holsteins and Jerseys.
Stepladder Ranch was founded in 1871 and has been family-owned and operated for three generations.
As a farmstead creamery, we raise our goats on the farm and make cheese from their milk – allowing us to manage every aspect of our cheese production.
Our delicious, mild and creamy fresh Chèvre is the ultimate representation of spring cheesemaking.
