Stepladder Creamery is a small goat dairy and creamery located up the hill from Cambria, California. We specialize in traditionally crafted, small-scale handmade cheeses with milk from our pasture-raised herd of Lamancha goats. On our off season, we also make artisan cow's milk and mixed milk cheeses using milk exclusively from our herd and a local, family-owned herd of Holsteins and Jerseys.
Stepladder Ranch was founded in 1871 and has been family-owned and operated for three generations.
As a farmstead creamery, we raise our goats on the farm and make cheese from their milk – allowing us to manage every aspect of our cheese production.
Our delicious, mild and creamy fresh Chèvre is the ultimate representation of spring cheesemaking.
